Tim McGraw’s Standing Room Only Tour ’24 is nominated for The Concert Tour of 2024 at this Thursday night’s People’s Choice Country Awards. Tim started his career almost 35 years ago, which means he has been building his fan base for generations, and one of the coolest things to him is to look out into his crowds when he’s on stage and see just how diverse in age his fans are.

“It’s pretty awesome to go out there and see how many young people are in the audience and are embracing the music and know the songs. It’s something that you don’t expect all the time. And when you see three generations of a family that have been to your concerts that are out there, and then a young family that are bringing their young kids, you know, they’re seven, eight, 10-year-old kids to the show, and they’re having fun and they know the words and they have signs and everything. It just really makes you think that, uh, gosh, you’ve been around a while (big laugh). But I never take it for granted. I can tell you that, and it’s always great to have new people come and start listening to your stuff.”

The 2nd Annual People’s Choice Country Awards will air live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville this Thursday night (9/26), at 8pm ET/7pm CT on NBC and Peacock.
