(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN TAKES PRIDE IN THINGS THAT MIGHT NOT IMPRESS OTHER PEOPLE

current single: “DAMN GOOD DAY TO LEAVE

In Riley Green’s latest song, “Damn Good Day to Leave,” there’s a line that says, “Sittin’ here, cooler full of Keystone, Nothing to do but fish all day long.” Riley says that line was inspired by an old buddy of his, who cracked him up because he was so proud to be fishing with a cooler full of Keystone, even though it was nothing to really brag about, or not something that other people might think was impressive. But Riley says he can relate in his own ways, because he has plenty of things in his life that might not be impressive to other people that he is proud of.

Riley Green – what are you proud of :21

“It’s probably most of the things that I’m proud of. Some of it has to do with, you know, the more serious things, like a pocket knife that my dad gave me. And you know, it’s not the most expensive one in the world, but it was something that has that kind of like personal meaning. You know, like there’s trucks that I’ve had that were not in great shape, but I would rather have them that way than showroom. It kind of shows the scars and how you got there, you know.”
