(AUDIO) JACKSON DEAN LOVES SHARING HIS SUCCESS WITH HIS FAMILY

current single: “HEAVENS TO BETSY

Jackson Dean got a big surprise over the weekend during the Country’s Cool Again Tour. As he was heading to his meet and greet, Lainey Wilson summoned him to come over by her bus and repeat after her.  She said, and he echoed, sounding a little confused, “I am Gold. I am Fearless. I am Platinum. I am cowboy of the night.” Then she had him turn around to see someone holding a plaque commemorating that his debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin’,” has been certified Platinum by the RIAA for selling over a million copies, and hs second single, “Fearless,” is certified Gold for selling over half a million copies. Jackson was genuinely shocked, and as he held the plaque he said, “Now I gotta take this one back to momma.”

For Jackson, getting to share the milestones and achievements in his career with both his mom and dad is special because they have been so supportive throughout his musical journey.

Jackson Dean – success for mom and dad :46

“They have always been very involved. First and foremost, my mother and father, and not just because they are my mom and dad, my dad’s probably one of the smartest businessmen, maybe not the smartest that I’ve ever met, but one that I admire the most because he just made enough to do what he wanted to do and what he needed to do. And my mom’s just off the charts smart. I mean, she’s president of Nicholson Masonry, so she’s a tough tomato. And for a long time, my mom and I, we used to burn CDs and print out CDs on our kitchen island. My dad was my daddager for a long time. So, they’ve always been heavily involved. It’s really awesome cause now they’re where they can just come to the show and have a good time, and dad and I aren’t settin’ up and tearin’ down anymore. There was a long time we used to throw the PA in the back of the truck and go.”
