When it comes to writing songs, Chris Janson is a little different from other writers in that he loves to write songs, but he’s not a fan of actually writing them down.

“I write songs very untraditionally. I actually just get the ideas in my head and I kinda write ‘em all down in my brain as weird as that sounds. I don’t really ever write anything down. In fact, my publisher gets mad at me all the time because I don’t turn lyrics in. I just don’t write stuff down. I usually get somebody else to do the typing or writing, you know, if I’m writing with somebody. I like writing songs. I don’t like writing it down.”
