current single: “DAMN GOOD DAY TO LEAVE”
Riley Green is from Jacksonville, Alabama, and it’s where most of his family still lives. Even though Riley has a place in Nashville, he built his dream home down near his hometown, and he made sure it was big enough that he could host all of his large family gatherings, which happen pretty often, especially around the holidays.
Riley Green – Thanksgiving get togethers :31
“Thanksgiving is definitely a big family gathering for us. It’s something I look forward to. My grandmothers were amazing cooks, and my grandmother Nancy was chicken and dumplins and dressing, and my grandmother Jean made the best biscuits and gravy, and everybody kind of came together. And something that I came to find out is both sets of my grandparents grew up in the same town, like a mile or two apart. So, great grandmother was alive for most of my life, both sets of my grandparents for most of my life. So, I had aunts and uncles of both sides and cousins, so it’s a big get -together. And we really do that very often, you know birthdays, any time we have an excuse to get together, we all do.”
