Thomas Rhett’s family always has big family gatherings for every holiday, including Thanksgiving. There is never a shortage of food at their family get togethers, and in fact, Thomas says they’ve tried to cut back on the number of casseroles that show up on the Thanksgiving table.

“My wife was on the phone with her grandmother, and the conversation made me laugh ’cause she was like, ‘Hey, this year we don’t need a casserole overload.’ Like, grandmothers are so good at casseroles, but they bring like 50 of them. You know what I mean? It’s like 19 versions of a green bean casserole and a sweet potato casserole, and my kids, all they want is just macaroni and cheese. And then we have to like force ham and turkey down their throat. It’s like, ‘Hey, you need protein, you know, before you eat every bit of sweet that your grandmother made.’ So, it’s always a struggle.”
