“I don’t really know that I am ever going to be an artist that is going to write all sunshine and rainbows and all happy songs. Because honestly, that’s just not real life, and for me music is cathartic, and I have found so much joy in the journey. And in the journey, doesn’t mean that it’s gonna just all of a sudden be happy. It’s kind of just finding happiness with where you’re at, and maybe that looks different for you than it does your friend, but that doesn’t mean that you’re anywhere except exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
