“Drunk Last Night” is the first single off of the new album Eli young Band is working on, and Mike Eli says the decision to record that song was a no-brainer. They liked the fact that it sounded like it had two choruses, but they also liked that the title might be a little misleading. “When you read the title, ‘Drunk Last Night’, you kinda expect it to be a certain kind of song,” explains Mike. “And it’s not. It’s a completely different type of song. We really loved the feel of it. We knew the songwriters—this was a really well-written song and a song that really set something different and new as well as something everybody could relate to.” Eli Young Band is currently out on their Drunk Last Night Tour, which will run through December 7th.
