Neil Perry of The Band Perry loves taking pictures. Sometimes they’re candids of Kimberly and Reid that they wish he wouldn’t share, but other times he has the opportunity to get some really cool shots worth preserving. “It’s one of the fun things that I get to do on the road too, especially being a traveling band and getting to go all over the world taking photos of cool places,” says Neil. “But also taking photos with and of our heroes, as well. Like, one of my favorite things was when we are at the Grand Ole Opry, taking photos of Little Jimmy Dickens, everybody over there.” His photo skills came in handy for some of the artwork on their latest album, Pioneer, featuring their new single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely.” Neil says, “All three of us are actually really involved in the artwork on the album. We’re all visual people. When we write songs, we have images in our heads so it’s really important to us to be involved in that other side of the art, actually doing the artwork.”
