(AUDIO) Cassadee Pope Strives To Have People Relate To Her Music

Cassadee Pope’s debut single, “Wasting All These Tears” has become her first top ten hit, which is a thrill for her, but she’s even more proud of the fact that so many people have latched onto the song and are relating to the message. “It’s so amazing to me that people can relate to that song so deeply and emotionally. That’s something that I strive for as an artist. I want people to relate to my music.” Cassadee loves the fact that the song addresses the heartbreak and the devastation of a break up, but then, she says, “It also talks about redemption and coming through the other side a big and better person and I really love the empowerment behind the song.”

Cassadee Pope – people relating to song :24
It’s so amazing to me that people can relate to that song so deeply and emotionally. That’s something that I strive for as an artist. I want people to relate to my music. And the thing that’s so special about this song is it talks about heartbreak and it talks about how devastated you could feel, but it also talks about redemption and coming through the other side a big and better person and I really love the empowerment behind the song.
