When talking about the kind of music they make, The Cadillac Three would say they offer a good blend of old and new. “In our music, I think, and this ain’t just me sayin’ this, I think a lot of people have said it too, that there’s a lot of deep rooted country,” says lead singer Jaren Johnston. “Whether it be your old, like, Keith Whitley or Don Williams, as far as lyrically, or your modern, you know, what Eric (Church) is doin’, what Dierks (Bentley) is doin’, Keith (Urban) is doin’.”
Jaren, who wrote the group’s debut single, “The South,” was heavily influenced by the legends of country music, but he also has had success writing for people like Keith Urban, whose #1 song, “You Gonna Fly,” was co-written by Jaren.
