(AUDIO) Brantley Gilbert Knows How To Party Without Going “Bottoms Up”

Brantley Gilbert has been pretty open about the fact that he quit drinking a while back, so it’s kind of ironic that the first single off his forthcoming album would be a drinking song. But Brantley says, “It didn’t give me second questions at all about choosing ‘Bottoms Up’ as a single… “Yeah, I don’t drink anymore (and) my first single was about drinkin’ and partyin’, and hell, I still I party. I ain’t gotta drink to party. I promise you.”

Thinking back to his wilder days Brantley laughs and says, “Anybody that knows me can tell you that when I did drink, I think I drank enough to be able to tell the stories for the rest of my life, so I think I earned my stripes on that end.”

“Bottoms Up” is the lead single off Brantley’s new album, Just As I Am, which he’ll release on May 20th.
