Tim McGraw had a chance to pay tribute to Bruce Springsteen at the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year concert last year, and next month he’ll be one of the headliners at the NCAA March Madness Music Festival in Dallas, which Bruce is also playing. Tim says, “He’s a great guy. He’s one of the coolest guys I’ve ever been around and proud to count him as a friend. Musically, he’s an American treasure. I think he’s one of those icons of music that rarely comes along that, you look back through history and there’s only a handful of ‘em and he’s certainly one of those guys that’s inspired so many people; musically, he’s inspired so many people; song writing-wise he’s inspired so many people; and as a person, you know, he’s just a solid guy.”

A DVD of the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year concert will be available on March 25th and the concert, featuring Tim, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown and others performing, will premiere on AXS TV on Sunday, March 30th. Tim will perform his latest single, “Lookin’ for That Girl,” and many of his other hits at the NCAA March Madness Music Festival on Saturday, April 5th, with Bruce Springsteen headlining the next day on the 6th.
