(AUDIO) Florida Georgia Line Keeping Possible Collaborations Close To The Vest

Florida Georgia Line spent time this month in the recording studio working on their next album. Their current single, “This Is How We Roll,” features their good buddy, Luke Bryan, and they teamed up with Nelly for the remix of their huge hit, “Cruise,” so naturally people are wondering what kind of collaborations they might come up with for the new album. Tyler Hubbard says, “We might have some surprises, you know. We’re not really out lookin’ for collaborations … And I don’t think we have anything set in stone yet for this next album, but we’ll see what happens. I’m sure there’ll be some surprises.”

As for whether those surprises could come from the country world or other genres, Tyler says you never know, but they’re open to anything. He says, “Sometimes something just pops up and somebody shows some interest and if it feels right for us and sounds like something that FGL would be into then we’ll go for it. It’s really fun to combine genres, if you will, and maybe even get to do stuff with people in the genre. It’s really fun. People we have looked up to for years, or respect, or are big fans of or whatever. We have a lot of influences outside of country so it’s definitely cool when opportunities come up in different genres.”

FGL hopes to release their new album this fall.
