Tim McGraw has so many different projects on his plate from recording to touring to acting, and it would seem difficult to be successful at all of them, but Tim says the secret to managing his goals and managing his success is to maintain a singular focus on whatever he’s working on at the time. “I think you set one goal, and that’s to do the best you can. To me, I think if I go out, if I get up in the mornin’ and no matter what my project is for that day, whether I’m goin’ to a movie or goin’ to the studio or goin’ to write a song or takin’ the kids to school or goin’ to coach somethin’, is to try to do the best I can at it.”
Tim says he can’t worry about the end result of what he’s doing, he can only give his best effort while he’s in the middle of whatever he’s doing. ”I’ve got to go do the best I can that day, wrap my mind around it in that way, and if I’m successful, everyday, or at least most of the days, I mean you can go in the Hall of Fame battin’ .300. If I’m successful most of the days, then the end results gonna be success, at the end of all those things put together.”
Tim’s latest single, “Lookin’ for the Girl,” off his forthcoming album has climbed into the top 20 and continues to climb. He’s expected to release his new album in April and then he’ll launch his Sundown Heaven Town Tour in May.
