(AUDIO) Eli Young Band Hopes To Make House Party An Annual Event

Back in November, the Eli Young Band headlined their first annual House Party at Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington to a sold out crowd of over 18,000 people. Jon Jones says, “Our House Party, we’d love to make a recurring event… We were blown away after going out with Kenny Chesney and playing all these stadiums all summer, to go out and do our own stadium show and realize how cool it actually is to headline in front of that many people. It’s intoxicating. I mean, it’s an addictive and something that we wanna do again and we’d love to spread it and do it other places.”

The guys are currently out on the road with Darius Rucker on his True Believers Tour, playing music from their new 10,000 Towns album, like “Drunk Last Night” and their current single, “Dust,” but they say they’re also already starting to think about this year’s EYB House Party. “Right now we’re in talks to startin’ to plan next year,” says Mike Eli, “As well as in talks to hopefully do it in Houston, or one of the other cities.”

Eli Young Band – House Party recurring :36
Jon Jones – “Ya, our House Party, we’d love to make a recurring event. We did it down in Arlington at the ballpark with the Rangers, which is our hometown team, and one that’s been very good to us in the past. We were blown away after going out with Kenny Chesney and playing all these stadiums all summer, to go out and do our own stadium show and realize how cool it actually is to headline in front of that many people. It’s intoxicating. I mean, it’s an addictive and something that we wanna do again and we’d love to spread it and do it other places.”

Mike Eli – “Ya, so right now we’re in talks to startin’ to plan next year, the House Party next year, as well as in talks to hopefully do it in Houston, or one of the other cities.”
