Whenever you have a band or group, there’s always the possibility of in-fighting or conflict among the members, but the guys in Eli Young Band say they don’t really deal with that kind of thing. Jon Jones explains, “I think in a cliché way we got a lotta those big fights out early on when it didn’t matter, and if we made it through that, we’ll make it through anything. But, we really do kinda float through the days pretty well together.”
Mike Eli says, “Sometimes we fight like brothers but at the end of the day when you’re brothers you figure it out. Yah, you figure it out and you brush it off.”
Jon adds it’s just like being in a family. “There are times where, we know to stay away from this person or whatever. And you do that because you’re your friends and that’s what you do with your friends and your family, you allow people their space when they need it. We know that it’s more fun to have fun on the road than it is to argue.”
The guys are having a lot of fun these days opening for Darius Rucker on his True Believers Tour and getting to play their latest single, “Dust” and their other hits.
