(AUDIO) Brantley Gilbert Doesn’t Do Diaper Duty

Brantley Gilbert has some family friends who just had a baby living with him in his house these days, and while he has enjoyed buying things for the baby and he even likes helping out with the little guy from time to time, he admits he’s not really the diaper changing type. Brantley says he’s helped out with his godson and would change his diaper, but on second thought he says, “If I’m babysittin’ and this baby happens to, you know … actually, no, I’d probably call somebody. I would. I just don’t know, I don’t know if I’m ready for all that.”

Brantley is busy promoting his brand new single, “Small Town Throwdown,” and headlining his Let It Ride Tour, so babies of his own aren’t really on his radar, but one thing he knows he definitely won’t ever do again is watch someone else’s baby being born live and in person. Brantley says, “I’ve seen a baby born. I think unless it’s yours, if you ever get a chance to do that, just jump off a cliff, make sure there’s rocks at the bottom.” He laughs and says, “There’s just stuff that goes on down there that shouldn’t.”

Brantley Gilbert – diaper changer :24
“Change his diaper, like my godson, my godchildren, yah if I had to. If I’m babysittin’ and this baby happens to, you know … actually, no, I’d probably call somebody. I would. I just don’t know, I don’t know if I’m ready for all that. I’ve seen a baby born. I think unless it’s yours, if you ever get a chance to do that, just jump off a cliff, make sure there’s rocks at the bottom. There’s just stuff that goes on down that that shouldn’t.”
