(AUDIO) Brantley Gilbert Celebrates Album Success In Moderation

Brantley Gilbert’s Just As I Am is the number one selling country album for a second week. In its first week of release, the album sold just over 211,000 copies, which blew his expectations out of the water. Brantley says, “I’m not that much of a prediction guy. I don’t go too much on what they say might happen. I ask questions sometimes, not very often.”

When he finally heard the numbers he did celebrate, but probably not to the extent that he would have in the past. Brantley says these days, “I try to stay on an even keel. I’ve found that in my life happiness is a good thing but there needs to be an occasion. Being content is more productive and more viable, it’s actually more reasonable. When big things like this happen, it’s okay to get out of my skin a little bit and (be) like, ‘Alright, (let’s) celebrate.’. And when we saw those numbers it was definitely a rewarding feeling.”

Brantley’s Just As I Am album features his #1 song “Bottoms Up” and his current single, “Small Town Throwdown,” which he sings with his buddies Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett.
