It’s been two years since RaeLynn finished third as a member of Team Blake on The Voice, back in 2012, and some people have wondered where she’s been and what she’s been up to. Raelynn says believe it or not, she’s actually been quite busy. “Right after The Voice it was crazy because I went home for two weeks to Texas, I turned 18 and then I moved straight to Nashville, got my own place.”
Once she was in town, she signed with The Valory Music Co. and began writing for her debut album and she says, “I’ve been writing for my project for two years, Monday through Friday. I’ve written over 70 songs and it’s crazy.”
RaeLynn has also had a chance to perform on a few dates with Miranda Lambert and she was a guest artist on the Blake Shelton cruise. But she says the main thing was taking the big step and moving to Nashville. She’s continuing to work on her debut album, which will feature her new single, “God Made Girls.”

RaeLynn – after The Voice :40
“Right after The Voice it was crazy because I went home for two weeks to Texas, I turned 18 and then I moved straight to Nashville, got my own place and signed with the best label in the world, Big Machine Label Group and began to write. I’ve been writing for my project for two years, Monday through Friday. I’ve written over 70 songs and it’s crazy. These two years just flew by and in the midst of these two years I’ve been able to go on the road with Miranda a little bit and went on the Blake Shelton cruise, and I just have been doing lots of fun things. But you know, it was just taking that big step and moving to Nashville and I’ve been really busy.”
