(AUDIO) RaeLynn’s Single “God Made Girls” Spans The Generations

RaeLynn has released her debut single, “God Made Girls,” which she had a hand in writing, and she points out that there was something very unique happening in the writing room the day she and her co-writers got together. “I actually wrote it with three of my best friends here in Nashville, Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Nicolle Galyon. What I didn’t realize is, when we wrote this song, is I’m 20, one of the girls is 30 and the other one’s 40 and the other one’s 50.”

RaeLynn says it only took about an hour and a half for all the women to write the song. “That’s what makes the song so special,” she says, “because you have all these different women in all their different perspectives of being a girl in this world, and you get four women together talkin’ about all the things that boys can’t do without girls and you’re gonna get a song like ‘God Made Girls’.”

“God Made Girls” will be on RaeLynn’s debut album, which will be released later this year.

RaeLynn – God Made Girls :38
“My first single, ‘God Made Girls’, is a really special song. I actually wrote it with three of my best friends here in Nashville, Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Nicolle Galyon. What I didn’t realize is, when we wrote this song, is I’m 20, one of the girls is 30 and the other one’s 40 and the other one’s 50. We literally wrote this song in an hour and a half and I think that’s what makes the song so special because you have all these different women in all their different perspectives of being a girl in this world and you get four women together talkin’ about all the things that boys can’t do without girls and you’re gonna get a song like ‘God Made Girls’. I’m so pumped that it’s my first song to country radio.”
