Maddie & Tae, whose debut single, “Girl in a Country Song,” was just released to radio, say they were instant friends who clicked from the moment they first met. They were introduced through a mutual friend and you could say it was a case of opposites attracting. Maddie says of Tae, “She’s definitely the more calm and collected one of the two of us. I’m definitely more of the high-strung, organized crazy person. But I’m not crazy.”

While Maddie considers herself a little high-strung, Tae says, “Maddie is the most intelligent girl I’ve ever met and I am so blessed to be with someone who is so smart. And yes, like she was saying, she’s very organized and that really, really helps me ‘cause I have a little bit of ADD going on. So whenever my brain gets scattered she reels me back in, for sure.”

The girls are working on their debut album, which will be released on the newly opened DOT Records in Nashville.
