“Country Music fans and race fans do go hand-in-hand. I think a lot of us were raised with a TV on the race on Sundays, and the festivities that go around that. For me to come play something as historic as the Brickyard is just icing on the cake. I know a lot of our fans ‘ll be there. They’re so energetic, they’re so ready to have a good time and forget about their worries. That’s what everybody’s doin’. They’re just wantin’ to come out and Nascar and music and friends and felloship. That’s gives people an outlet to forget out their worries for just a little while. A bunch of weekend warriors out there this weekend and me and my band are super excited to be a part of it.”

“My favorite part about Nascar is it is one big family. These guys, they come together every Sunday and it’s the most intelligent guys out there. Some of the most intelligent guys that I’ve ever seen were guys that raced dirt track in the evenings in northeast Alabama. I mean, they had a fix for everything and they can go out there with their minds and their hands and their tenacity. Man, they can conquer anything. That’s one of my favorite parts about racin’, it’s a workin’ man and workin’ sport. Family is definitely it. There’s nothin’ more important than that anyway.”
