With songs like “Small Town Throwdown” and all his tattoos and big muscles and motorcycles, Brantley Gilbert definitely gives off a bit of a tough guy image, but he admits he does have a softer side. “I definitely have a soft side,” he confesses. “I don’t bring it out very often. But if you listen to my records, you’ll definitely see it. I don’t’ mind showin’ that. I think every tough guy’s got it in him. The whole tough, badass thing’s never really a platform or a label that I asked for. I guess I earned it and I own it and at the end of the day I’m just gonna do what I do.”
Brantley says if he had to narrow it down, he’d probably credit his mama for his softer side.
