(AUDIO) The Eli Young Band Brought Joy Of Life To Latest Album

When Eli Young Band was putting together their latest album, 10,000 Towns, their goal was to have the album reflect where they’re at in their personal lives and to add some more energy and excitement to their live shows. Chris Thompson explains, “Right now we’re in a really positive place in our personal lives and our career and I think that we wanted that sort of joy-of-life to be reflected on this record. I think we’re really havin’ a good time and it was time for us to put together a record that reflects that we’re out there havin’ fun and that life is good, and all that.”

By focusing on the joy and the positivity they were able to come up with a lot of uptempo and good feeling songs like their current single, “Dust,” and Chris says, “There’s still some depth to it and all that kinda stuff, but at the same time we wanted a record that we could go out and play these songs live and kinda lift the audience up and we wanted songs that had a lotta energy a lotta positivity and I think we really accomplished that on this one.”
