Maddie & Tae will make their debut on the Grand Ole Opry this coming Tuesday, September 23rd, and the moment is going to be a special one for a lot of reasons. First, their families will be there to support them, and as Maddie points out, “The Opry is where every single country music legend has played, and so all of our heroes have played there. So that’s gonna be surreal for sure.”
The Opry is special to Maddie & Tae because it’s one of the first places they visited together when they came to Nashville. Tae says, “We actually went to the Opry to watch Vince Gill and Kellie Pickler perform in one of our very first trips to Nashville together. We were 16 and we were just two little girls sitting in the audience, praying and hoping that one day we would have the chance to go up on stage and live out the dream too. So the fact that it’s actually happening is crazy.”
One of the songs the girls will sing on Tuesday Night at the Opry is their debut single, “Girl in a Country Song.”

Last week, the girls sat down for interviews as Tae celebrated her 19th birthday on Thursday (9/18). Also last week, the girls announced that their self-titled EP with all songs written by them will be released on November 4.
