The Eli Young Band has had a lot of great moments in their career, but if they had to pick one they’d like to go back and relive, drummer Chris Thompson says, “I think the biggest one for me is what we did last year. I think getting on the stage with Alabama at The Ryman was just such a cool thing. It’d be so awesome. I wish we could do that once a week, every week for the rest of our careers.”
The event that comes to mind for lead singer Mike Eli is actually something the band will soon get to relive. He remembers, “We put on a show called ‘The House Party’ at the Arlington ballpark, home of the Rangers, and so it was our first time to put together that big of a show and 20,000 people showed up to see the show, and so it was a really fun, cool and incredible night for us.”
The band, whose latest single “Dust” is in the top 20, has announced that they’ll be hosting two House Party shows this year, at Globe Life Park in Arlington on November 8th and Minute Maid Park in Houston on November 15th.
