Rascal Flatts have been on the road with their Rewind Tour since May, and while they’ve spent a lot of time on the road this summer and fall, they always try to make sure they work on balancing home life with touring life.
“We try to have a healthy balance between being home with our families and making sure we put in time there to refuel our jets and then come out on the road so that we’re prepared to give everything that we can while we’re on the road,” says Jay DeMarcus. While being away from home can be especially tough with little kids at home, Jay says, “The fans make it all worthwhile when we get to stand in front of them and see them sing our songs back to us and we know that we’ve touched their lives, it’s an incredible thing.”
Fortunately Rascal Flatts only has one more show in 2014 before they take some time off for the holidays, which will give them a chance to spend a lot of quality time with their families before their next tour. They’ll finish out the year promoting their single, “Payback,” which is currently in the top 25.
