Florida Georgia Line’s new single, “Sun Daze,” definitely evokes images of summer and sunnier times, but Tyler Hubbard is getting into the holiday spirit, and he smiles when he remembers the best gift he got when he was about 15 years old. Tyler says, “Dad would always act like, ‘you’re not gonna get much this Christmas, times are tough,’ whatever, whatever. So you never had a whole lot of expectation, and that one Christmas there was like hardly anything under the tree and I’m just like, ‘Well, I guess he was right.’”

But then he says his dad took him outside and there was a new dirt bike in the yard for him. Tyler says, “That was like the best thing ever… that was an awesome day.”

Florida Georgia Line will be hosting the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards next Monday (12/15) in Nashville where they are multiple nominees. The guys are currently enjoying some down time before their big headlining tour kicks off in January 2015.
