Although they spend much of their year together on the road, The Band Perry says it’s a must that they all celebrate New Year’s Eve together every year. Kimberly says, “It usually revolves around some family dinner, but we don’t’ eat until like 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Last year we went to Ashville, North Carolina, they have this great restaurant called Limones and it was an AMAZING way to ring in the year.”
Reid and Neil also put on a fireworks show and Neil says, “I will say, the Perry boys do put on one of the best fireworks shows ever. I mean it’s pretty spectacular.”
Kimberly cautions their fans not to try the Perry boys methods at home, but they’re known for twisting the fuses together on multiple fireworks to shoot them off simultaneously, but Neil jokes, “We are semi-professionals,” so definitely don’t try that at home.
Over the next few months The Band Perry will be working on the follow-up to their Pioneer album to release sometime in 2015.

Kimberly – “I think we really like low-key celebrations on New Year’s Eve here in The Band Perry. We just spend it together, however, even though like every day in the New Year we will actually also spend together, we have to be together on New Year’s Eve. Neil – “We twist the fuses together.”
Kimberly – “Which might not … don’t try this at home kids. Twist the fuses together so it’s like double …”
Reid – “So you light ‘em both off at the same time.”
Neil – “Like fingers crossed. Like two fireworks shoot up in the air at the same time.”
Kimberly – “But again, don’t try this at home.”
Neil – “No, we are semi-professionals.”
Kimberly – “Happy New Year’s Eve!”
WHAT THEY’RE DOING THIS WEEK – DECEMBER 15, 2014 – MONDAY
The Band Perry are done touring for 2014 but are expected to be on tonight’s 2014 American Country Countdown Awards where they are a nominee. The trio will premiere their brand new music video for “Gentle On My Mind” on Tuesday (12/16). The family trio gets back on the road in February.
