(AUDIO) Tim McGraw Keeps It Simple For New Year’s Eve

When it comes to New Year’s Eve, Tim McGraw likes to keep it simple, from celebrations to superstitions to resolutions. “For me, New Year’s Eves I like to be low-key and hang out with my family and be a little bit contemplative and think about the year that lies ahead,” says Tim. He doesn’t really reflect back on the year that was because he says, “I’m not much about the past.” Instead, Tim says, “I just sort of look to the New Year as a opportunity to do new things and accomplish new goals.”

When it comes to resolutions, Tim prefers not to make any because he says, “I try to accomplish my goals throughout the year and they float and change.” He laughs and adds, “I don’t make resolutions because I don’t wanna set myself up for failure.”

Tim just celebrated his single, “Shotgun Rider,” becoming his latest #1 song. He’ll release a new single off his Sundown Heaven Town album in early 2015.

Tim McGraw – New Year’s superstitions :19
“I don’t really have any superstitions that I think of. You know, we try to do black-eyed peas and greens and those sorta things. But, I’m not very big on that sorta stuff. I just sort of look to the New Year as a opportunity to do new things and accomplish new goals.”
