It’s hard to believe that it was just two years ago that Florida Georgia Line released their debut single, “Cruise,” which changed their careers forever. Looking back, another pivotal turning point was when they landed a spot on the Country Throwdown Tour in 2012. Tyler Hubbard says, “We were just out roughin’ it and kinda doin’ our own thing tryin’ to figure it all out. That was one those moments where we’re like, ‘Cool, we’re on like an actual tour and we have dates set from this time to this time and it’s gonna be rough.’ We were drivin’ ourselves around in a van all summer, kinda roughin’ it, kinda made us who we are.”

Tyler says they could actually feel the momentum shifting in their career by the end of the tour. Now they’ve got “Sun Daze” potentially on its way to being their seventh number one song and they’re about to embark on their Anything Goes headlining tour on January 15th.

Tyler Hubbard – “You wouldn’t call it a big break, but kinda when the ball really started rollin’ for us was when we got on the Country Throwdown tour last year, ‘cause we were just out roughin’ it and kinda doin’ our own thing tryin’ to figure it all out. We saw a big change from the beginning of that tour to the end and the response of ‘Cruise’ and we had just released and so it was a good tour for us and kinda where the tables were turned I feel like a little bit.”

Florida Georgia Line is rehearsing this week for their huge headlining “Anything Goes Tour” which kicks off in Toledo, Ohio on January 15. The guys are nominated for a People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday (1/7/15) In Los Angeles.
