The Band Perry won their very first GRAMMY last night (2/8) in Los Angeles for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Gentle On My Mind.” Backstage, after their win, the elated trio talked about being Grammy winners:

(The Band Perry’s Kimberly and Neil) “You know we’re so thrilled we’ve been nominated for a Grammy three times this is the first time we’ve ever been able to call ourselves Grammy winners and just that turn of events is life changing for the three of us we grew up watching the show, loving the show and I remember a very pointed night one night we were watching an Alicia Keyes performance probably eight to ten years ago now and I just remember saying to the boys, ‘We just gotta find a way to get there, I don’t know how, I don’t know when’ but here it is.”
