(AUDIO) More Traditional Justin Moore Doesn’t Mind The Diversity In Country Music

The spectrum of country music has definitely gotten wider over the years, including everything from pop country to rock country. For someone like Justin Moore who considers himself more of a traditionalist, he says, “I grew up on the old-school stuff; Willie, Waylon, that whole bunch and I prefer to listen and play traditional sounding Country Music. But Country Music has always gone through cycles. It’s always sounded a little more Pop, and then a little more Country.”

While Justin prefers more traditional sounding country music, when he looks at how diverse the music is today he says, “I’m cool with it. I think some people don’t like it, but as long as it brings more fans that get to hear my music then I’m like, ‘Hey go for it!’ That doesn’t mean that I play it.”

You can hear Justin’s more traditional sound in his new single, “This Kind of Town.”

“You know, I’m a more traditional sounding guy. So, I grew up on the old-school stuff; Willie, Waylon, that whole bunch and I prefer to listen and play traditional sounding Country Music. But Country Music has always gone through cycles, it’s always sounded a little more Pop, and then a little more Country. Country is more diverse now than it’s ever been, period. For me, being a traditional guy, I’m cool with it. I think some people don’t like it, but as long as it brings more fans that get to hear my music then I’m like, hey go for it. That doesn’t mean that I play it.”
