When A Thousand Horses was considering which song to release off their debut album first as their debut single, lead singer Michael Hobby says, “We felt ‘Smoke’ was the best choice because it represents our band and our sound, all collectively of what we are influenced by. From the minute we wrote it, and everybody heard it, we felt it was very special and it’s just got a cool vibe about it, and it’s kinda eerie, kinda sexy, kinda edgy, and we just knew it would be a special song.”
A Thousand Horses’ debut album, Southernality, will be released this summer.
