Toward the end of last year Maddie & Tae were named among CMTs Next Women of Country. Considering the list is made up of young women in country music who are deemed to be the next big stars in the format, Maddie Marlow says, “We’re so honored to be CMT next women of Country nominees because we’ve grown up on all of the other women that are nominated as well, and to be in that same group is just, oh yah. Again, it feel like we’re talking about someone else and we’re just kinda watching people.”

Tae Dye agrees and says it was almost hard to believe the news. “Until we see our picture and it’s like wait, it kinda looks like me. Oh wait, that is me. What’s goin’ on?”
Maddie & Tae just released their brand-new single, “Fly,” off their debut album, which will be released later this year.
