(AUDIO) A Thousand Horses Faced Obstacles But Never Considered Giving Up

A Thousand Horses has their debut single, “Smoke,” climbing up the charts and they’re enjoying seeing some real progress in their career, but even before that happened and they were a struggling band, they never gave up on their dream of making music for a living. Lead singer Michael Hobby says, “Every band, and every artist, has obstacles they have to maneuver through in pursuing a musical career. We’ve had ours, from losing our first major label deal and our management and booking, and then having to rebuild into where we are now.”

While they admittedly had doubts along the way when they faced some of those obstacles, Michael says, “You just kind of strive to head forward and maneuver around the obstacles. I can’t say that we ever thought we were gonna quit. It’s kind of in our blood, it’s what we do, and it’s the only thing we know how to do, so we would never give that up just because of one failure.”

A Thousand Horses will release their debut album, Southernality, on June 9th.
