Coming up March 25th, ABC will air the second installment of Nashville: On the Record, featuring the cast of Nashville performing songs from the hit ABC TV show. Not only was Charles Esten, who plays Deacon on Nashville, excited to play the Grand Opry House for the taping of the show, but he was also excited to bring some of music to life in front of some of the show’s biggest fans.
“When we’re makin’ these shows, it’s a whole lot of, ‘Quiet on the set.’ You know, it’s sort of a solitary thing. This though, is different,” says Charles. “This is where, not only do we get to be with the writers of these songs and the musicians that recorded them where they’re literally on stage with us … but then we get that major piece of the puzzle, which is the people that love the show so much, and love the characters so much, and the songs they sing. That’s what I love most about those nights, is that all those things come together.”
Nashville: On the Record, will air March 25th on ABC. You can see new episodes of Nashville every Wednesday night at 10pm ET/9pm CT on ABC.

Nashville – Charles Esten On The Record :59
“Yeah, it was fantastic when we got to do ‘On the Record’, the first one at The Ryman Auditorium. My goodness, where could you possibly start off better than to be at the mother church, but I gotta tell you, if you’re not gonna be there, that Opry House, for one it meant we got to fit a whole lot more fans in there and they did show up. They sold that thing out very, very quickly. We, when we’re makin’ these shows, it’s a whole lot of, ‘Quiet on the set.’ You know, it’s sort of a solitary thing. This though, is different. This is where, not only do we get to be with the writers of these songs and the musicians that recorded them where they’re literally on stage with us, those guys Buddy and Collin and Linden and the rest of them, but then we get that major piece of the puzzle, which is the people that love the show so much, and love the characters so much, and the songs they sing. That’s what I love most about those nights, is that all those things come together. I’m with my cast-mates, I’m with the musicians, I’m with the songwriters, and we’re with those fans. So, to get to play those songs for them, that’s what makes it a very, very special night.”
