Maddie & Tae will be hitting the road this summer with Dierks Bentley on his Sounds of Summer Tour, along with fellow openers, Kip Moore and Canaan Smith, and when they got the invitation it took them about a half a second to say yes. Tae Dye says, “It was funny ‘cause Maddie and I were actually at the CMA Awards walking the red carpet and our manager came up to us, and she said, ‘Hey, so I was talkin’ to Dierks’ manager and he said that he wants you guys on tour with him.’ And it wasn’t even like a pause or anything, we were just like, yes! Please, yes!”
The girls are excited to spend their summer with Dierks because Tae says, “We love Dierks. We love everything about him, his songwriting, his artistry. And so the fact that we’re gonna be on tour with one of our inspirations, as well as Kip and Canaan, they’re kinda like our big brothers now. So, that’s gonna be a lot a fun to learn some things.”
The 40-city Sounds of Summer tour will kick off on June 5th in Raleigh, NC, which is just three days after Maddie & Tae will release their debut album (June 2), Start Here, featuring their latest single, “Fly.”

Maddie & Tae spent their weekend in Dallas, where they got their first ACM nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year. The girls play a few shows in California this week.
