(AUDIO) A Thousand Horses Were Musically Influenced By Their Families

The guys in A Thousand Horses have a wide range of musical influences, and they say part of that comes from discovering the music their parents and their siblings were listening to when they were growing up. Michael Hobby explains, “We all kind of grew up with older siblings, except Zach. He had a younger sister. We all kinda grew up listening to whatever they were listening to, or whatever our parents were listening to. A lot of times I liked what my parents were listening to more than what my brothers would listen to.”

Between family influences and their own musical discoveries, it made for a pretty eclectic music collection. Graham Deloach says growing up, “I had a Metallica record and a Garth Brooks record.” Michael listened to country, but he also had a Tupac record in his collection.

A Thousand Horses just released their brand new single, the title track off their debut album, “Southernality.”
