CURRENT SINGLE: “What’s Your Country Song”
Thomas Rhett (TR) just announced his new album, Country Again: Side A, will be released on April 30th, and as the title implies, Thomas says, “I feel like this whole record is a bit of a return to my roots, for sure. It’s been kinda happening in the last couple of years. I feel like that I started to think different. I started to think a little bit more simple, I started to live a little bit more simple.”
Anybody who has followed Thomas on social media throughout the pandemic, knows that for a while, he was writing new songs just as fast as he could. And while he had a lot of songs to choose from to be the first one he released off the album, TR says, “We recorded 24 songs in the studio, but it always felt like, even from the day we wrote ‘What’s Your Country Song,’ it felt like the first single. And I feel like ‘What’s Your Country Song’ is just a great lead, especially coming after ‘Be A Light.’ It’s up-tempo and I think it talks about, kinda the state of life that I’m in right now, and I think it truly resonates with a lot of people.”
Now that the album has been announced, Thomas is giving fans even more sneak peeks of what’s to come when he releases the whole project next month. If you pre-order Country Again: Side A, you’ll get instant downloads of “Want It Again” and “Growing Up,” two more songs off the 11-song album.
