(AUDIO) 9/11 WILL ALWAYS BE SIGNIFICANT TO LADY A’S CHARLES KELLEY FOR MORE THAN ONE REASON

CURRENT  SINGLE: “Like A Lady”

Charles Kelley of Lady A will never forget the tragic events of 9/11/2001, when terrorists flew commercial airplanes into New York City’s Twin Towers, destroying the buildings and killing over 3,000 innocent victims in the process.  Another reason that date will always be etched in Charles’ memory is because 9/11 is also his birthday.  As we mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy this year, Charles will also be celebrating his 40th birthday.  Back in 2001, the day Charles turned 20, he remembers, “I was in college and yeah, it was wild. I woke up, was gettin’ ready to go to class and I had a roommate come in and say, ‘Man, turn on the TV.  Class is canceled, you won’t believe.’  And we all got up and watched it.  It was just wild.”

Even 20 years later, it still seems surreal that a terrorist attack of that magnitude happened in America, and Charles says, “It’s hard to put it into words, but I can remember it and everybody can and it had such a huge effect on everybody.”

Lady A will actually be playing a show this year on 9/11 in New Braunfels, TX, where they will undoubtedly take a moment to acknowledge the 20th anniversary of 9/11/2001, and the 40th anniversary of Charles Kelley being alive on this earth.
