A Thousand Horses just released their debut single, “Smoke,” and it turns out it was one of the last songs they recorded for their forthcoming debut album. Lead singer Michael Hobby says, “‘Smoke’ was one of the last songs written for the album. It’s one of my favorite songs on the album. Lyrically, it really grabbed me. It’s a relationship song.”
Michael actually wrote the song and he says, “When I wrote it I knew it was special and I immediately brought it into the guys and I said, ‘What do you guys think, can we cut this?’ and everybody was like, ‘Hell yeah!’ So, that’s kinda how it came about and what it means to me.”
“Smoke” will be featured on A Thousand Horses’ debut album, Southernality, which they’ll release later this year.
