(AUDIO) A Thousand Horses Has Drunk Dialed, But Not In Their New Single

A Thousand Horses’ new single is called “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial,” and while lead singer Michael Hobby admits they’ve all had those moments when they’ve had a little too much to drink and picked up the phone and called someone or texted them, this song is actually about the opposite of that. He says, “It’s admitting to having a few but also just a confession of a relationship to the other person of, here’s my truth let’s make it right, I’ll take the blame, forget about the past and let’s move forward.”

“(‘This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial’, is the follow-up to Smoke off of A Thousand Horses’ debut album, Southernality.

A Thousand Horses – Drunk Dial meaning :25
Michael Hobby – “You know, with the current single, ‘This Ain’t No Drunk Dial’, it’s kinda the opposite of that. I mean, definitely, everybody’s got crazy stories of having a little too much, maybe sending that wrong text and the next morning wake up of, ‘Ah, [Beep]’. But, for ‘Drunk Dial’, it’s kind of the opposite of that. It’s admitting to having a few but also just a confession of a relationship to the other person of, here’s my truth let’s make it right, I’ll take the blame, forget about the past and let’s move forward.”
