(AUDIO) A THOUSAND HORSES HAS TO RECORD SONGS THAT ARE AUTHENTIC TO WHO THEY ARE

“Preachin’ to the Choir” is the first song A Thousand Horses has ever recorded that they didn’t have a hand in writing, although it sounds like something they could have written.  Zach Brown says in order for the guys to record a song they didn’t write, it doesn’t necessarily have to sound like something they would have written, but it has to sound authentic to who they are as a band.  He says, “It has to feel right for us.  You know, we want to play things that are us. I think that song is cool I mean it’s kind of like it’s got a common theme from a lot of our songs from (our debut album,) Southernality, too of stick true to who you are and be proud of what you are and be real. And you know that’s kind of what we’ve tried to do as a band and try to carve out our own unique place in country music.”

“Preachin’ to the Choir” is the first release off A Thousand Horses’ latest EP, Bridges.
