Every night before A Thousand Horses goes on stage, they huddle up with the their band and do a hands in pre-show ritual. This year they’ve been inviting a few lucky fans to join them backstage and be a part of the huddle. Michael Hobby explains, “It’s like huddling up before we walk on, and we wanted to do something to interact more with our fans and meet them and have them be a part of our special ritual. So we’re doing this thing for the rest of the year on the ‘Southern Style’ tour, and some of our headlining shows, where we pick a couple of people to come back and hang with us and do hands-in with us.”
There’s usually a chant, a phrase or just something they say as they all put their hands in the middle of the huddle, and Michael says, “(The fans) can pick the hands-in, sometimes we pick it. It’s kind of something fun and something special that we wanted to do with our fans.”
A Thousand Horses’ latest single, “(This Ain’t) No Drunk Dial,” just entered the top 25 and is continuing to climb the charts.

A Thousand Horses – hands in pre-show ritual :34
Michael Hobby – “We’ve always done a hands-in to some type of thing every night, as band right before side stage and we put our ears on and our instruments…”
Zach Brown – “Kind of like the huddle, you know.”

So we’re doing this thing for the rest of the year on the ‘Southern Style’ tour, and some of our headlining shows, where we pick a couple of people to come back and hang with us and do hands-in with us.
