(AUDIO) A Thousand Horses Keeps Their Pre-Show Routine Simple

A Thousand Horses debut single, “Smoke,” is currently sitting in the top ten and still climbing, and the guys are busy touring non-stop all across the country. When it comes to preparing for their live shows, lead singer Michael Hobby says once the bus pulls up, “Everybody kinda just rolls outta these bunks slowly. We warm up, stretch, warm up our voices, just kinda get in the zone about what we’re about to do.”

Bass player Graham Deloach agrees that it’s all about getting in the right mindset. He says, “You gotta get yourself psyched up. You’re about to jump onto a moving train. It’s like nerve-wracking, but in a good way. You can channel it and use it. You take the two minutes before you go on, everybody does a hands-in, you get your head in the game, you do whatever you need to do, say a prayer.”

A Thousand Horses has a pretty packed tour schedule through the summer. You can see a list of their tour dates here.
