(AUDIO) A Thousand Horses Owes A Lot To Their Moms

With Mother’s Day approaching, the guys in A Thousand Horses know they owe a lot to their moms for helping them achieve their dreams in the music business. Bill Satcher says it was his mom’s idea to take him to his first guitar lesson. Michael Hobby shares, “My mom loaned me twenty dollars to buy my first guitar.”

Graham Deloach, who plays bass in the band says, “My mom is an awesome piano player and she said that she would sit down at the piano and play for like hours when I was still in the womb. So, she attributes my musical interests to her. I’m also a terrible piano player.”

Zach Brown’s mom may want to get in on the act. He laughs and says, “My mom swears that she’s gonna write our next hit song. That’s what she’s been tellin’ me. ‘Zach, I’m gonna write your next hit song.’”

The guys are just thankful to have their first hit song on their hands, with their debut single, “Smoke,” in the top ten and continuing to climb.
