(AUDIO) A Thousand Horses Supports Music Education In Schools

Growing up, the guys in A Thousand Horses were fortunate to have access to music and be influenced by family members who were musically inclined. Graham says, “My first instrument was snare drum. I joined band in fifth grade and played snare drum for a little while.” Bill remembers learning to play the recorder in fourth grade, and Michael started a guitar class in middle school.”

Zach was also in a band through middle school and he says when it comes to music, “It’s really important to find it somewhere and some of us had, you know, luckily we had some family members that kind of introduced us to different things. But I know some people don’t necessarily have family members to introduce them to music, so to be able to have programs in school to get introduced to it I think is important.”

All that early music education is paying off for A Thousand Horses, whose latest single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial is rapidly approaching the top 20 on the charts.
