A Thousand Horses has a summer full of tour dates lined up, including a lot of festivals and outdoor performances, which means a lot of hot days on stage in the summer sun, but they’re not worried about it. When it comes to dealing with extreme temperatures on stage, Zach Brown says, “It’s a mental state you really just have to accept that you’re going to be soaking wet when you walk off stage and you’re basically up there like exercising for an hour. So if you if you get yourself in that mindset then it doesn’t matter.”
Lead guitarist Bill Satcher is even more defiant. He says, “I’m not going to let the heat keep me down. Like that’s just the thing. We’re going to go out there play a great show no matter what. You also got to keep pushing.”
While some artists might wear shorts on stage or try dressing in lighter colors to combat the heat, bassist Graham DeLoach says, “We’re out there to put a show on for people and dressing up for the show is part of it. You can’t let the weather, whatever it may be, affect the way that you look because you gotta look the part. You can’t let little heat get you down!”
